Keramiek — dat is terug naar de basis. Eerst met je handen in de klei: bouwen, draaien, proberen controle te krijgen. Geen tijd om na te denken. Daarna begint het vormgeven, het testen van glazuren, en leren hoe je ze toepast. Veel misbaksels, soms een geslaagd stuk. Dan voelt het of alles klopt.

The 21 small, turned stoneware objects emerged intuitively, without a predefined plan. Their deformation using a small board alludes to industrially formed glass, in contrast to the hand-drawn handle. The self-developed deep green glaze, based on lava flour from the Eifel, ensures visual coherence. The addition of conjunctions—my graphic background is never far away—introduces a linguistic layer in which the objects link together into a sentence structure.
